The claddagh is a symbol of love, loyalty, friendship and fidelity. The heart is love, the hands friendship, and the crown is for loyalty and fidelity.
Some 400 years ago a fishing village called Claddagh overlooking Galway Bay, close to the city of the Tribes, lived Richard Joyce, a Master Goldsmith. It was he who crafted this now famous design that has become part of our unique heritage.
This Claddagh ring is available in sterling silver in US sizes 5 to 13, in whole and half sizes. Sizes 13 ½ (13.5) and larger are an additional $10 US. The ring measure approximately 7.1 mm (just over 1/4") wide at the crown & heart, 2 mm (1/16") wide at the band. Weighs approximately 2.2 grams in sterling silver, weight will vary with size.
