The claddagh is a symbol of love, loyalty, friendship and fidelity. The heart is love, the hands friendship, and the crown is for loyalty and fidelity.
Some 400 years ago a fishing village called Claddagh overlooking Galway Bay, close to the city of the Tribes, lived Richard Joyce, a Master Goldsmith.
It was he who crafted this now famous design that has become part of our unique heritage, the original Claddagh design.
The pendant is available in sterling silver. The claddagh measures approximately 16.7 mm (5/8") long, 11.8 mm (just under 1/2") wide, and 2.2 mm (just under 1/8") at the thickest point. The pendant weighs approximately 1.3 grams in sterling silver.
Includes a 24" long rhodium plated chain. An 18" silver cable chain is available for an additional $5.00 US, a 20" silver box chain is available for an additional $9.00 US.
